Ikigai Dental was founded by two passionate sisters, Dr. Yi Yin and Dr. Yi Xing. We chose the name “Ikigai” because dentistry is not just our profession—it’s our purpose. It brings us joy and fulfillment to help our patients achieve better health while making a positive impact on the community. Dr Yi Yin graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS) with distinction in 2019 from Penang International Dental College (PIDC), earning the Silver Medal Award for second rank.

Even up to this day, Dr Yi Yin actively attends dental courses to develop her skills and knowledge as dentistry is an ever evolving profession where learning never ends.

Dr. Yi Xing graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from PIDC in 2018 and served in the government health ministry for 3 years in Sabah before joining the private practice.

She also obtained her MFD RCS qualification from Ireland, UK.
